1. What excites you about working in healthcare?

Making a difference in someone's life. Being creative and finding ways to ensure our clients can have a very autonomous life.

2. Tell us about your fondest memory when working with First City

There are a few, where we supported our clients to achieve the therapy they need, or to support with our new project - in the way that technology can help someone to achieve their confidence. For example, we had a lady locked at home for weeks, so we arranged a copy of her key so that she could go out, and that made all the difference in her life and mental health - something as simple as that.

3. What advice would you give to someone new to care work?

Not every day is the same. Everyone has bad days, but to balance this you will also have really good days. You need to be patient, listen to others, and remember we all are a big team, and we need to work together.

4. Thinking about working for First City, how would you describe the company?

It is a big company, and no one is perfect, so people will sometimes make mistakes. However, I can say that everyone will always try their best and help each other through anything. There is a lot of mutual respect, cooperation, and alliance between us. It is good to know that you work with someone that cares about you, as a person.
