1. What excites you about working in healthcare?

Just being able to see people happy and give an extra chance at life, lending a helping hand to those who need it and assisting the clients that are independent to gain more confidence in living independently. Every day is exciting.

2. How did you find the induction training with First City?

The induction was very amazing and insightful, and the tutors also did very well in simplifying and breaking down knowledge on how to go about our jobs, what to expect and, what is achievable. I enjoyed using the equipment and learning practical roles during the induction, which has become very instrumental to doing my job now on a daily basis.

3. How has your introduction to the role been?

I really loved shadowing under the colleagues I was assigned to, they were very happy to help in order for me to understand what the job entails in real life. With helping people and taking care of the clients on the go. Shadowing is very essential because it is the actual, direct reality of what to expect on the job. It sets the pace for ones individual calls.

4. Thinking about the start of your journey working for First City, how would you describe the company?

Starting my journey working in First City, I can say that First City is the place anybody would want to work, as much care is given to the service users, they also make sure that staff are protected, from giving PPE to actually putting into consideration staff's wellbeing.
