1. What led you to apply to a career in health and social care?

I have always wanted to make a difference and support people to stay in their own homes.

2. What excites you about working in healthcare?

To be a positive change and making the day more bearable to face when we support our clients.

3. Tell us about your fondest memory when working with First City?

Completing my English and my NVQ Dipmloma. At my age at 56 I never thought I would be able to achieve this.

4. Thinking about working with First City, how would you describe the company?

Understanding and empathetic. First City have supported me with personal circumstances over the years.

5. What advice would you give to someone new to care work or considering a career as a care worker?

I would say it gives you a purpose and a great sense of achievement, a reason to face the day in these challenging times.

6. Have you enjoyed the First City Training?

Yes, very informative.

7. Do you have any other comments you would like to share?

I will continue to build my career and support clients to make a change and live a person-centred life at home where possible.
