Family is a huge priority for Jo. With her 4 grown up children, 2 granddaughters and a close wider family there is always a hive of activity both personally and professionally around Jo.

Jo has been working in health and Social Care for 37+ years achieving Leadership Qualifications within both adult and children service provision.

More specific areas of experience for Jo include supporting individuals of all ages, for whom mental health or behavioural challenges are more prevalent.

Seeking best solutions for individuals, whilst supporting colleagues to demonstrate the values to empower both themselves and the individuals they support are very key aims within Jo’s leadership style. Jo recognises that inspiring people to be their very best is essential and that working with individuals to focus on the things that matter to them, adding purpose and meaning to their lives is a privilege.

Jo truly appreciates every individual within the First City group and celebrates the role they play in the team and the work they do at every opportunity.

For the past 21 years Jo has worked with the First City Group in a variety of both Support and Leadership roles. Jo became part of the Leadership team in 2004, a Registered Lead with CQC from 2009, and now sits as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
